INTEGRITY Security Services Partners with AeroVironment for Advanced V2X Technology Development
In a groundbreaking collaboration that promises to reshape the future of connected vehicle technology, INTEGRITY Security Services™ (ISS) has announced a strategic partnership with AeroVironment, Inc. (AV). This alliance aims to develop an advanced Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) platform, offering robust solutions that encompass high security, efficiency, and reliability.
The newly integrated system leverages AV’s remarkable expertise in edge computing and ISS’s superior cybersecurity capabilities, creating a next-generation network V2X platform that is set to establish benchmarks in the automotive industry. With the TrafficAuth-SCMSclient libraries incorporated into AV's Low-latency Intelligent Network Exchange (LINX), this platform allows vehicles to communicate seamlessly with their surroundings, resulting in real-time data exchange that includes alerts for potential hazards, traffic conditions, and collision risks.
ISS’s Director of Transportation and Sustainment Engineering, Xiaoliang (George) Zhao, emphasized the significance of this integration, stating, "The LINX platform merges our extensive knowledge in transportation systems with ISS’s renowned client libraries to build a system characterized by ultra-low latency and unparalleled scalability. This collaboration is pivotal in deploying a highly secure and efficient smart mobility solution."
The LINX platform stands out not only for its enhanced data handling capabilities but also for its stringent security measures. The system employs standards-based cellular and Unicast V2X interoperability, allows incorporation of digital signatures for messages, and ensures that communications remain both secure and authentic. Further, it leverages security certificates issued by ISS, providing an additional layer of validation for the transmission of messages within the network. By adhering to the rigorous IEEE 1609.2 standards and U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) security credential management protocols, the V2X platform is set to meet and exceed the required benchmarks for safety and interoperability.
As the world's pioneer in offering a fully managed SCMS, ISS has built a solid reputation for delivering secure, interoperable solutions that facilitate reliable communication between vehicles and infrastructure. According to Brian Romansky, Vice President and General Manager of Connected Vehicle Solutions at ISS, this partnership aims to harness innovative technologies to expand the ecosystem of trusted connected devices. "We are committed to fostering collaborations with leading partners such as AV to propel their innovative products into the market, enhancing the landscape for smart connected vehicles and devices," he stated.
Both companies are set to showcase their innovative solutions at the upcoming ITS World Congress, taking place from August 24-28, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees are invited to visit ISS at booth #553 and AV at booth #2112 to witness the revolutionary potential of the upcoming V2X platform.
