Promoting Job Opportunities in Kumamoto's Social Welfare Sector
A new initiative by NPO Chabira is set to shine a spotlight on social welfare facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture. Collaborating with the Kumamoto Child Welfare Council, Chabira will host an online job fair focusing on social welfare institutions in the region. This event is unique because it brings together 13 different facilities, including children’s care centers, infant homes, and psychological treatment centers—all in one virtual space.
Addressing the Hiring Challenge
The primary aim of this job fair is to tackle the challenge of disseminating information about the work environments and opportunities within these facilities. Many potential job seekers are unaware of the benefits and fulfilling careers available in Kumamoto's social welfare sector. By providing a platform for these institutions to engage directly with job seekers, Chabira hopes to enhance awareness and interest in social welfare careers.
Past Endeavors by NPO Chabira
Chabira has a history of increasing awareness about social welfare work. They’ve previously organized events featuring former facility residents sharing their experiences, discussion forums for child consultation center staff, and job fairs specifically for facilities interested in the metaverse. The Kumamoto Child Welfare Council recognized Chabira's successful outreach efforts and expressed interest in a localized job fair. This collaboration is a promising response to the need for better communication about available positions in the field.
