The year 2025 marks the
44th Annual Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival, a cherished event held at Meiji Jingu Gaien in Tokyo. Set for
August 16 (Saturday), with a rain plan for August 17, this year’s festival promises a spectacular display of fireworks coupled with lively performances from notable artists.
Among the exciting acts,
Koda Kumi returns to the stage for her third time. Known for her electrifying performances, Koda made a splash at the Jingu stadium in 2008 with hits like “girls”, and her much-anticipated return in 2019 showcased six songs, including “Eh Yo” and “GOLDFINGER 2019”, leaving fans yearning for more. As she celebrates her
25th anniversary in the industry, her upcoming
arena tour in Tokyo and Osaka later this fall is highly anticipated by fans.
Joining her on stage is
wacci, a band making their debut at this illustrious festival. With the release of “Koi Daro” in April 2022, wacci achieved remarkable success, garnering over
250 million streams and receiving the
Excellence Award at the
64th Japan Record Awards. They will also be commemorating their
15th anniversary with a special outdoor concert at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. Starting in October 2025, the band will embark on their
Hall Tour 2025-2026, titled “Shokkei”, showcasing their musical talent across various cities.
