Seminar on Goto City Island Life: A Guide for Migration
Are you interested in island living but feel anxious about one-on-one consultations? Do you want to get a comprehensive understanding of Goto City before making a commitment? Then this seminar is for you! On March 1, 2026, at the "Migration and Exchange Garden," just a four-minute walk from Tokyo Station, we will delve deep into island life.
This seminar will feature a speaker who has first-hand experience of moving to Goto City. Unlike typical tourist brochures, the session will unveil the "real everyday life" on the islands and the necessary steps to achieve a successful migration.
At the end of the event, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and, if time permits, engage in brief individual consultations tailored to their interests.

Overview of Goto City
Located west of Nagasaki Prefecture, the Goto Islands comprise about 150 islands of various sizes. Goto City, situated at the southern end of this archipelago, includes three main islands: Fukue Island, Kuka Island, and Naru Island, along with several inhabited and uninhabited islands.
Traveling there is easy, with a direct flight from Haneda Airport taking about three hours, or two hours from Itami Airport, making Goto City easily accessible. Blessed with scenic landscapes and an abundance of fresh ingredients, it is also a hub for historical and cultural richness.
The infrastructure supports a comfortable lifestyle, featuring large supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals, and educational institutions, which contribute to its reputation as a safe place to live. The city had a population of 33,078 as of the end of January, with around 1,400 newcomers over the past six years, with a significant percentage of those being young adults - a trend that illustrates the city’s vibrant and welcoming nature.
