Element Pointe Launches Scholarship for Finance Students
In an inspiring move that underscores its commitment to education and community service, Element Pointe, a distinguished wealth management firm based in Miami, has announced the creation of the
Element Pointe Excellence in Finance Scholarship. This new scholarship, aimed at undergraduate finance students at the University of Miami, is set to be awarded annually to promising juniors and seniors who have demonstrated both academic excellence and a commitment to future careers in finance.
The initiative is particularly meaningful for David Savir, Element Pointe's Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder. A graduate of the University of Miami himself, where he earned both his law degree and MBA, Savir expressed his gratitude and desire to give back to the institution that helped shape his career. "The University of Miami gave me more than an education; it opened doors of opportunity for my future," Savir reflected.
He recalled his own journey as a recipient of a Dean's Merit Scholarship for law school, as well as a Graduate Assistantship for his MBA studies. "I always hoped the moment would come when I could pay it forward. Today marks a proud moment for me and our entire firm," Savir stated.
The scholarship aims to invest in the financial leaders of tomorrow and highlights Element Pointe's role in supporting the South Florida community. Apart from this initiative, Savir is actively involved in local philanthropy, serving on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami and holding a position on the advisory board for the finance department at the University of Miami's Herbert Business School. Similarly, Carlos Dominguez, the firm's Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder, contributes to the Orange Bowl Committee and Element Pointe's participation in the 'School to Work' program co-sponsored with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Dr. Paul A. Pavlou, the Dean of the Miami Herbert Business School and a Leonard M. Miller Professor, remarked on the significance of this scholarship. He noted, "Element Pointe's scholarship embodies the University of Miami's dedication to excellence, opportunity, and community impact. We are incredibly grateful to Element Pointe for supporting our finance students on their journey to becoming the industry's future leaders."
Starting in the fall of 2026, the Miami Herbert Business School will begin awarding the scholarship to currently enrolled students who meet the eligibility criteria. No application is required; eligible students will automatically be considered for this prestigious award.
