SINEXCEL and Wasion Energy Launch Pioneering Energy Storage Project in Central America

Landmark Project in Costa Rica

In a significant step towards renewable energy advancement in Central America, the Coopesantos wind energy storage system has officially commenced operations in Costa Rica. This innovative project is the result of a collaboration between SINEXCEL and Wasion Energy. The inauguration of this system was attended by local government representatives, marking an important milestone in the partnership between China and Costa Rica in the renewable energy sector.

The Coopesantos Energy Storage System

Coopesantos is the first energy storage project in Central America to integrate SINEXCEL's advanced 1250kW PCS energy storage converter. This system is equipped with three standout features:

1. Smart Control: The energy storage system boasts an impressive efficiency rate exceeding 99%. It effectively reduces peak demand, regulates frequency, and supports voltage stabilization. This level of performance is critical for optimizing energy use and ensuring reliability in power supply.

2. High Security: An essential aspect of the Coopesantos system is its use of Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) technology, which allows for network formation. This capability enables black starts (the ability to restore a power station to operation without relying on the external electric power transmission network) and operation in off-grid conditions, assuring continuous electricity delivery even under extreme circumstances.

3. Adaptability to Local Conditions: Developed in close cooperation with Wasion Energy, this system has been designed for enhanced resilience against seismic activity and humidity, which are common challenges in Central America. Its features include tailor-made solutions for high temperatures and moisture, ensuring its operational integrity in local environmental conditions.

Throughout the technical seminar preceding the project's operation, the Coopesantos solution received recognition from Costa Rica's national energy authorities, industry experts, and international clients, affirming the global competitiveness of SINEXCEL's energy storage technology.

Strategic Impact on the Central American Market

The successful launch of Coopesantos signifies a strategic milestone for SINEXCEL in the Central American market and represents a crucial step in the company's global expansion efforts. SINEXCEL aims to accelerate the transformation of energy systems and support energy independence not only in Latin America but globally.

About SINEXCEL

Founded in 2007, SINEXCEL has emerged as a leader in high-quality power supply, energy storage, and electric vehicle charging technologies. The company has a commendable track record with 12 GW of installed energy storage capacity, over 140,000 electric vehicle charging systems, and nearly 20 million amperes through active harmonic filters (AHF). By collaborating with top industry players such as EVE Energy and Schneider Electric, SINEXCEL is committed to facilitating energy independence.

Conclusion

The Coopesantos project represents a significant investment in the future of renewable energy in Central America, illustrating how collaborative efforts can lead to sustainable advancements in energy storage technologies. With the operations officially underway, the partnership between SINEXCEL and Wasion Energy marks a promising future for renewable energy initiatives in the region.
