Introduction to the September Limited Marriage Support Campaign
The Japan Marriage Support Association, located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is excited to announce its limited-time “September Marriage Support Campaign.” The campaign, aimed at individuals who wish to start their marriage journey, will run until September 30, 2025, and features a unique one-on-one matchmaking service called “Shuukon.” By signing up this September, participants can enjoy a waiver on the usual matchmaking fee of 3,000 yen per meeting for up to two months.
Addressing Social Issues through Matchmaking
In recent years, rising living costs and stagnating salaries have led to growing concerns about the future, particularly among younger generations, which has subsequently lowered the desire to marry. This decline is not merely an individual issue; it contributes to broader societal challenges such as declining birth rates and population decrease.
The Japan Marriage Support Association has been providing the Shuukon service since 2010, designed to help individuals begin their marriage journey with minimal financial burden. This September campaign aims to make it easier for singles seeking face-to-face introductions, allowing them to take that important first step toward finding a partner.
A Fair and Clear Membership System
The Shuukon service utilizes a membership system that takes into account income disparities by age. For both men and women in their 20s and 30s, the cost is set equally:
- - 20s Plan (All genders): 10,000 yen for 6 months (approximately 1,670 yen/month)
- - 30s Plan (All genders): 15,000 yen for 6 months (approximately 2,500 yen/month)
Typical marriage consultation services can cost several hundred thousand yen annually due to a combination of joining fees, monthly fees, introduction fees, and success fees. In contrast, the Shuukon service dramatically minimizes these financial barriers, creating an environment where everyone can pursue marriage with peace of mind and fairness.
The Comfort of One-on-One Matchmaking
Registration for the service is simple and can be done via a dedicated form. Participants can review prospective partners' profile photos and bios, making their own decisions on whether they wish to meet or not. The one-on-one format allows individuals to get to know each other at their own pace, providing a relaxed setting to explore compatibility. However, please note that this campaign is only applicable to in-person meetings, and online consultations are excluded.
