Experience the Thrills of K-Culture This Summer at KCCNY's Immersive Festival

This summer, New Yorkers are warmly invited to step into an exciting cultural experience without the need for a passport. From July 8 to August 22, the Korean Cultural Center New York (KCCNY) is presenting the K-Culture 2026 festival, themed "Escape the Summer, Dive into Korea," which is set to transform the Center into a vibrant hub dedicated to showcasing the essence of Korean summer lifestyle.

A Celebration of All Things Korea

The festival is a collaboration between KCCNY, the Korea Tourism Organization's New York Office, and the Korea Creative Content Agency New York Center. It's designed to highlight various aspects of Korean culture during the summer, including entertaining horror films, bustling PC Bangs, trending skincare routines, delightful Korean snacks, and breathtaking travel spots.

NapRyang Midnight Scream in NY

From August 6 to August 21, KCCNY will be hosting a midnight screening of K-horror films in its theater. As a traditional way for Koreans to beat the summer heat, the festival features spine-tingling selections that promise to chill audiences. Notable screenings include classics such as "Salmokji: Whispering Water" on August 6, "A Tale of Two Sisters" on August 7, and two more chilling films on August 20 and 21, all at 9 PM.

Dive into K-Sanctuary PC Bang

Another engaging aspect of the festival is the immersive K-Sanctuary PC Bang experience, available from July 8 until August 22. The recreated environment mimics one of Korea's favorite social spots where friends gather to enjoy gaming along with snacks. Visitors can engage in popular games developed by leading Korean companies and taste complimentary Nongshim ramyun on specific days, offering a taste of Korean gaming culture right in the heart of New York City.

Glow Go K-Beauty Tourism Zone

Korean summers are synonymous with skincare, and KCCNY invites you to explore the Glow Go K-Beauty Tourism Zone until July 29, and again from August 6 to August 22. Visitors can enjoy interactive beauty experiences featuring popular brands like Laneige and Innisfree, encounter visual installations of Korea's stunning tourist destinations, and have the opportunity to sample skincare products along with complimentary K-beauty gifts on select days.

BTS THE CITY at KCCNY

From August 1 to August 3, KCCNY will host an exciting event called 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK,' celebrating BTS's latest album ARIRANG and their world tour. Transforming the center into a dynamic experience for fans, attendees will be invited to personalize their ARMY Bombs, collect exclusive lyric cards, and participate in various sponsor experiences. Special screenings in the theater will feature choreography practice videos and BTS documentaries, creating an immersive fan experience unique to New York.

The KCCNY: A Cultural Hub

The Korean Cultural Center New York, established in 1979 as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, provides a rich blend of cultural and artistic opportunities. Offering everything from exhibits to performing arts, KCCNY serves as a bridge connecting audiences with Korea's heritage and contemporary culture.

Located strategically in the city near Koreatown, KCCNY is easily accessible and aims to foster dialogue and cross-cultural exchange. With seven stories dedicated to artistic engagement, the center invites everyone to join in its year-round activities and celebrations.
