Ecomondo 2025: A Green Economy Event with Over 100 Scheduled Activities
Ecomondo 2025: Leading the Way in Green Economy
Ecomondo, Europe's premier green economy event, is set to take place from November 4 to November 7, 2025, at the Rimini Exhibition Center, Italy. Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the event promises to be a significant platform for discussing global environmental challenges and innovative solutions that aim to pave the path for a sustainable future.
With an impressive exhibit area of over 166,000 square meters, Ecomondo 2025 is reaffirming its status as an essential meeting point for businesses, institutions, and academia, featuring a robust program of more than 100 high-profile events. This year, IEG's CEO, Corrado Peraboni, emphasized the event's role in fostering international debate and comparison on sustainable practices.
Among the most anticipated programs is the General States of the Green Economy, organized in collaboration with Italy's Ministry of Environment. This forum is expected to generate significant discourse around environmental policies, bringing together leaders and stakeholders from various industries.
Alessandra Astolfi, head of the Green Technology Division at IEG, shared insights into the conference program curated by the Ecomondo Scientific Committee, which is chaired by Professor Fabio Fava. The conference will address critical sustainability themes, including the restoration of sites and soils, highlighted in the fourth edition of the General States for Soil Health.
One notable highlight will be the focus on satellite technologies, especially Earth Observation, with a session titled “From Sky to Earth,” facilitated by the Polytechnic University of Turin, CINECA, and the Space Agency. Furthermore, the event will emphasize technological solutions for the reuse of materials at the end of their lifecycle, with the conference themed, “Technological Solutions for the Recovery of Resources from Products and Materials in the Mediterranean Landscape,” organized in partnership with ISWA International and ATIA-ISWA.
Another significant event will explore European and Mediterranean nature-based, digital, and cyber-physical initiatives, focusing on innovative water management techniques. This session is set to be organized by Ecomondo's STC along with the European Commission and other international partners.
Ecomondo will also host the fifth edition of the African Green Growth Forum, a crucial event that brings together investors, policymakers, and professionals from across the continent to share experiences and best practices in sustainable development.
In summary, Ecomondo 2025 is not just another event; it’s a beacon of hope for advancing circular economy practices and fostering collaboration toward environmental sustainability. Its comprehensive agenda and diverse array of discussions, seminars, and workshops will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on attendees and the future of green practices—not just in Europe but globally.
