Top Equestrian Riders Compete for Rolex Glory at CHI Geneva 2025

The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping at CHI Geneva 2025

The Palexpo in Geneva will transform into the epicenter of show jumping excitement from December 11 to 14, 2025. This renowned venue will host the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, closing its season with a dazzling display of equestrian talent. In its 64th edition, this event is particularly special as it marks the 25th time Rolex has sponsored the Rolex Grand Prix, reinforcing its status as one of the most prestigious Majors in the sport.

During the event, the festive indoor arena will feature some of the globe's elite riders, including at least 14 Major winners, poised to compete for glory. The grand finale on Sunday, the Rolex Grand Prix, is expected to draw a significant audience, both live and online.

A Legacy of Excellence

Since joining the Rolex Grand Slam in 2013, CHI Geneva has witnessed breathtaking moments that have left indelible impressions on fans and competitors alike. Notably, Swiss equestrians Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs have crafted their legacies here, consistently delivering performances that resonate within the sport's history. Guerdat, a three-time Major champion, is celebrated for his remarkable wins in 2013 and 2015, while Fuchs aims to extend his back-to-back victories from 2019 and 2021 to add to his record in 2025.

This year promises to bring fierce competition, featuring riders from countries renowned for their equestrian prowess. Germany fields a powerful team including Daniel Deusser, Richard Vogel, and Christian Ahlmann, each aiming to harness their skills for a shot at the title. Similarly, Austria, represented by Max Kühner, hopes to build on previous successes with his experience and talent.

International Contingent

Belgium will demonstrate its might too with Grégory Wathelet, Nicola Philippaerts, and Gilles Thomas—champions capable of achieving the level of performance Geneva demands. France adds a spark with Julien Epaillard, known for his speed, along with veterans Kevin Staut and Simon Delestre. The UK representation boasts talents like Ben Maher, Scott Brash, and promising riders Harry Charles and Jessica Mendoza, enhancing the competitive landscape.

Harrie Smolders from the Netherlands will be back, looking to defend his CHI Geneva title, while fellow countryman Willem Greve also brings a wealth of experience. Sweden’s team, led by World Champion Henrik von Eckermann, epitomizes skill and experience, adding depth to the competition.

North America's hopes rest on the current world number one, Kent Farrington, whose previous victories at both CHI Geneva and CHIO Aachen place him as a leading contender. Brazil’s Pedro Veniss, previous winner at Geneva, adds to the international flavor of the event.

The host nation, Switzerland, will be well-represented. In addition to Guerdat and Fuchs, Edouard Schmitz and Pius Schwizer enhance the local team's strength. Rising star Gaëtan Joliat could be another highlight for the Swiss contingent.

Anticipation Builds

As anticipation builds for the Rolex Grand Prix, questions abound: Will Harrie Smolders secure another title? Can Scott Brash continue his strong performance as the Rolex Grand Slam Live Contender? Or will a new rider emerge to seize this prestigious prize?
