December 26, 2025, to January 3, 2026, this annual celebration is a vibrant representation of Crucian culture, highlighting the island's unique traditions through music, food, and community festivities.
This year’s festival is themed
“Timeless Traditions in Every Mix”, promising a week filled with engaging events that showcase the richness of local culture. Among the signature attractions are the esteemed
Princess and Miss St. Croix Pageants, alongside performances from celebrated artists vying for the titles in the
Calypso Monarch and
Soca Monarch competitions. Additionally, the
Food Fair will allow guests to indulge in local culinary delights, a centerpiece of the festival.
One of the most thrilling parts of the celebration is the famed
J’ouvert morning, where revelers welcome the festival with excitement and energy. This vibrant tradition is just the beginning of a series of fun events that culminate in two grand parades in Christiansted: the
Children's Parade on January 2 and the
Adults Parade on January 3. The festivities will conclude in spectacular fashion with dazzling fireworks during the
Last Lap Village Night, creating a memorable send-off for festival-goers.
Jennifer Matarangas-King, Commissioner of Tourism for the U.S. Virgin Islands, expressed her excitement to welcome participants both from the Virgin Islands diaspora and newcomers. She said, “I am thrilled to welcome everyone to experience the magic of the Crucian Christmas Festival. St. Croix's culture is one of vast pride and diverse distinction, and this year's festival will again deliver unforgettable music, food, and entertainment while celebrating the traditions that make our island so unique.”
During the festival, the
Festival Village will act as the hub of fun and entertainment. From
December 29 to January 3, visitors can enjoy free live performances by local and international artists, diving into the essence of the island's cultural vibe. Attendees can also explore local arts and crafts, all while enjoying family-friendly activities that cater to audiences of all ages throughout the nine-day celebration.
