In an effort to increase accessibility for soccer fans in the United States, the Bundesliga has solidified multi-year broadcast partnerships with both Versant's USA Sports and NBCUniversal's Telemundo. These strategic agreements will enable the league to reach over 80 million households across the country, marking a significant advancement in its broadcasting initiatives.

Growing Popularity of Soccer in the U.S.


The last few years have seen a tremendous growth in soccer's popularity in America, especially following the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup. According to Robin Austermann, Executive Vice President of Bundesliga Americas, the number of Bundesliga supporters in the U.S. has surged by 43% over the last five years. This growth signals the increasing demand for high-quality soccer content in the American market.

With the new deals, USA Sports will take on the role of exclusive English-language broadcaster starting in the 2026/27 season. The network plans to air at least 30 matches each season on its USA Network platform, while all remaining matches will be accessible for streaming free of charge on Fandango. This arrangement makes it easier for viewers to engage with the league, enabling them to watch a broader selection of games without cost.

On the Spanish-language front, Telemundo will act as the exclusive broadcaster, showcasing over 100 matches each season across its platforms, including Telemundo and Universo. All matches will also be made available for streaming on Peacock, which further enhances the league's accessibility to Spanish-speaking audiences.
