Discover the Realities of Working in Kyushu: A Special Online Career Event

On June 8, 2025, a remarkable online event, the "Kyushu Online Career Fair," will be broadcasted by One Career in collaboration with Television Nishinippon (TNC). This event aims to provide students aspiring to work in the Kyushu region with valuable insights from prominent companies and experienced employees.

The Background of the Event

Kyushu is gaining significant attention as a burgeoning business hub in Japan, with Fukuoka City taking the lead in urban development, population growth, and economic expansion. The region has seen a concentration of semiconductor-related companies and the establishment of data centers by both domestic and international firms, making new graduate recruitment highly active.

In October 2023, One Career and TNC launched a video series, "Shin-Kyushu Hakubutsu Expo," highlighting exciting Kyushu businesses and the benefits of working in the region, receiving positive feedback from both job seekers and companies. Building on this momentum, they decided to host an online career fair focusing on the "Realities of Working in Kyushu."

Event Details

The "Kyushu Online Career Fair" will feature representatives from 15 companies based in the region who will share real information on working in Kyushu. The event will be held at the TNC's popular studio, adding a professional touch to the presentations. In addition to company insights, there will be a special segment titled "Wakate Kenbunroku," in collaboration with the popular TNC variety show, "Goripara Kenbunroku," showcasing the environments where young employees thrive.

Themes for the sessions will include discussions on career turning points, the joys of supporting Kyushu, and insights into professional success. This in-depth exploration aims to provide valuable perspectives on navigating the job market in Kyushu.

Additionally, a unique special session featuring five local broadcasting stations from Fukuoka (Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, Fukuoka Broadcasting, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, and TNC) will discuss the industry realities, enriching the understanding of what it's like to work in the broadcasting sector in the region.

Participants from both Kyushu and those hailing from the region but currently studying elsewhere will be able to join by accessing the event via YouTube, ensuring a broad reach to potential candidates (registration required).
