Online Seminar on Management Strategies to Empower Young Talent in 2026

Online Seminar: Enhancing Empowerment in Young Talent

The Protean Career Association, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is dedicated to fostering better relationships between organizations and individuals while supporting proactive career development. This March 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM JST, we will host an online seminar titled "No More Gentle Overlooking! Accelerating Young Talent Development Through ‘Growth Recognition’ and Three Engagement Strategies."

In this seminar, we will be joined by Ryuu Kitagawa, an HRBP at an automobile manufacturer, who will elaborate on management practices aimed at drawing out the initiative in younger employees, based on the principles of Protean Career. We will delve into the complexities of onboarding young talent and misunderstandings surrounding management practices, while sharing actionable engagement strategies for implementation on the ground.

Background of the Seminar

As society embraces diverse values and rising aspirations for career autonomy, the significance of feeling genuine growth through work has become paramount, overshadowing mere remuneration and job stability. Regrettably, some practices—such as “gentle overlooking”—meant to avoid friction can lead young employees to feel neglected or abandoned. Merely providing a sense of security is insufficient to cultivate autonomy; real growth is sparked by appropriate challenges and meaning.

Seminar Content

The seminar aims to address the following key themes:
  • - What constitutes the 'growth recognition' that young employees seek?
  • - The distinction between ‘delegation’ and ‘abandonment’.
  • - The three elements that foster initiative: assurance, challenges, and meaningful engagement.
  • - Examples of questions for 1-on-1 sessions that you can implement starting tomorrow.

We will offer practical insights and engagement strategies that can transform how you relate to young talent.

Recommended For:

  • - HR professionals and HRBPs facing challenges with young employee retention and motivation.
  • - Managers looking to revise their engagement approaches with direct reports.
  • - Leaders wanting to shift from a “management” to a “coaching” model in development.
  • - Supervisors concerned that young employees lack initiative and a sense of growth.
