Vobile Partners with UNN to Establish Cutting-Edge AI Factories in Brunei

A New Era for Brunei's Digital Economy

In a significant advancement for Brunei's digital economy, Vobile, a leader in digital content protection and transaction services, has announced a strategic collaboration with Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN). This partnership comes in the wake of signing commercial agreements aimed at establishing AI-ready infrastructure in the nation. The signing ceremony took place at UNN's Tungku Submarine Cable Landing Station on September 3, 2026, marking a pivotal moment for both organizations and Brunei's economic landscape.

Vobile's CEO, Yangbin Wang, and UNN's Acting CEO, Christopher Phan, shared the stage to formalize these agreements with notable officials witnessing the event. During the ceremony, Heiko Trost, Chief Digital Officer at UNN, emphasized the importance of developing an AI-ready infrastructure, not just for their organizations, but for Brunei's digital economy as a whole. He expressed that this relationship extends beyond typical customer-supplier dynamics, envisioning it as a partnership rooted in shared goals, innovation, and collective success.

Transforming the Creative Industry

The collaboration will bring Vobile's state-of-the-art AI technologies to Brunei, particularly through its flagship platform, DreamMaker. This platform empowers film and television studios, independent producers, and content creators to harness AI in generating video entertainment while safeguarding their intellectual property. Ben Smith, Vobile's Executive Vice President, highlighted the necessity of protecting creative works in an era where AI is revolutionizing the global creative industry. He noted that the synergy between UNN's robust infrastructure and Vobile's innovative AI capabilities positions Brunei favorably within Southeast Asia’s burgeoning AI economy.

To support these efforts, UNN will develop an AI-capable data center featuring advanced liquid cooling technology and high power density compatible with NVIDIA's latest GPU systems. The initial allocation of 25MW of capacity to Vobile signals a firm commitment to establishing advanced AI operations, with an additional 25MW reserved for future expansion. This infrastructure will facilitate Vobile's operations, allowing the company to efficiently run AI factories that cater to an increasing demand from clients across the creative industries.

Building a Digital Future

Vobile's expansion into Brunei aligns with its mission of making creative content more valuable through advanced technology. Founded in Silicon Valley, Vobile has broadened its reach to encompass North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe, serving top-tier entertainment companies and content creators globally. This partnership with UNN not only aims to foster innovation within the region but also seeks to create new pathways for sustainable economic growth in Brunei.

As the partnership progresses, both Vobile and UNN are optimistic that their combined efforts will lead to substantial advancements in Brunei's digital landscape. They aim to not only stimulate local economic development but also pave the way for Brunei to emerge as a leader in the Southeast Asian AI market, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in transforming digital capabilities and seizing new opportunities for growth in the region.
