Burrell Communications Group, a preeminent Black-owned advertising agency, is excited to announce the appointment of God-is Rivera as their new Chief Strategy Officer. This strategic move adds a remarkable leader to the agency's leadership team. Rivera is recognized for her substantial contributions to marketing and strategy, particularly during her tenure at the global tech platform X, previously known as Twitter.

During her four years at X, Rivera was highly effective in shaping inclusive marketing campaigns that resonated with diverse communities, gaining widespread recognition for her commitment to centralizing underrepresented voices, notably “Black Twitter.” Her work has garnered attention in the Hulu documentary, _Black Twitter: A People's History_, showcasing her impactful contributions in connecting brands with multicultural audiences.

Prior to her impressive stint at Twitter, Rivera held the position of Director of Inclusion and Cultural Resonance for VMLYR and also worked as a lead channel strategist at prominent digital marketing agencies including iCrossing and T3. Her most recent role was as the inaugural Vice President of Inclusive Marketing for The Walt Disney Company, where she played a pivotal role across various streaming platforms including ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+. Subsequently, she joined ESSENCE Ventures as its first Chief Content Officer, focusing on audience engagement and content strategy for their brands.
