Callen brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge, having served for over 25 years in various senior congressional roles. She will be taking on the position of Co-Chair for the Congressional Investigations Practice, further enhancing Jenner's formidable reputation in this area.
Extensive Background in Legal and Political Strategy
Prior to this position, Callen was the General Counsel for Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), where she provided critical legal advice on matters of legality, ethics, oversight, and personnel. They noted, "Her insights into Congress will be invaluable, making her an exceptional addition to our team and beneficial to our clients facing unique legal challenges."
A Track Record of High-Profile Investigations
Ashley’s legal prowess extends back to her significant roles, including serving as General Counsel to Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA). In previous capacities, she has held several senior investigative roles across numerous House committees, providing legal guidance on topics from oversight processes to landmark legislative priorities. These include her work on the impeachment investigations and her pivotal role in pandemic-related oversight through the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, where she prepared members for major public hearings.
Emily Loeb, co-chair of both the Congressional Investigations and Government Controversies Practices, also shared her enthusiasm for Callen’s arrival. "Ashley brings an exceptional mix of legal knowledge, political acumen, and calm leadership during turbulent times. Her deep-rooted experience in Congress will serve her clients well as they navigate today’s complex oversight landscape."
