Okayama University, located in Okayama City, has recently initiated a new program designed to strengthen the startup support capabilities of its administrative and technical staff. The program, named the 'University Origin Startup Support Personnel Development Program,' aims to cultivate valuable skills in business realization and collaborative support through the application of the GAP fund.

A total of 18 participants engaged in the program, which was structured in collaboration with the company Livness. Each session spanned approximately two hours, combining lectures and hands-on exercises to instill foundational knowledge in university-originated startup support.
Session Highlights
- - Session 1: Focused on understanding the social implementation of research results and the fundamental concepts surrounding GAP fund applications.
- - Session 2: Covered essential skills for market analysis, including identifying customer needs and understanding core issues within the market.
- - Session 3: Allowed participants to practice by re-evaluating actual research themes from a commercialization perspective, reinforcing their role as supportive partners to researchers.
