On September 13, 2026, Okayama University proudly participated in the Okayama SDGs Fair 2026, held at the Okayama Convention Center. This event aimed to highlight regional initiatives surrounding Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and foster collaboration within the local community.
With nearly 100 organizations exhibiting their booths, attendees enjoyed a range of engaging programs including lectures, a quiz show, and workshops. The event began with a keynote speech delivered by President Yoshitomo Nasu of Okayama University, who unveiled a groundbreaking initiative called the Okayama Beyond SDGs Proposal focused on new future developments after 2031. In his speech, he outlined ten Shared Well-Being Goals (SWGs) aimed at promoting holistic sustainability practices.
