Advanced Lubrication Specialties Expands through Strategic Acquisition

Advanced Lubrication Specialties (ALS), recognized as one of the leading independent lubricant manufacturers in the United States, is set to expand its operations through the acquisition of Chemlube International LLC’s lubricants division, located in Savannah, Georgia. This acquisition, finalized in a private transaction, is expected to conclude before the end of January 2025. Chemlube's Savannah facility, which has been operational since 2001, produces a diverse assortment of high-quality lubricants that are distributed in bulk across the Southeastern region. The blending facility boasts significant capacity, including 5.8 million gallons of storage, 8 railcar spots, and a variety of tanks ranging from 3,000 to 1,200,000 gallons. Additionally, the facility provides deep-water dock access, facilitating the shipment and receipt of waterborne base oils.

The Chemlube Group consists of Chemlube International LLC and its Swiss counterpart, Chemlube SA. This group serves as a significant independent distributor and trader of base oils worldwide, purchasing base oil from nearly all major global refiners. They are also the exclusive distributor of high-grade Group III base oils from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in Europe.
