Kizuna Shokudo's November Report
In November 2023, Kizuna Shokudo, operated by the Kizun Friends Association located in Kita-ku, Tokyo, witnessed incredible success by selling out of 50 meals within just one hour. This community kitchen serves as a welcoming place for residents, providing homemade meals that are nutritious and delicious. With the help of dedicated chefs from local kindergartens, the initiative not only meets community needs but also encourages social interaction among families.
Monthly Gathering Schedule
Kizuna Shokudo operates every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, with a special Christmas gathering planned for December 23. Dining occurs at 16:30, with meals offered on a first-come, first-served basis, capped at 50 servings. Each month features a rotating menu with homemade items that are sure to delight both children and adults alike.

During November, over 110 meals were distributed, highlighting the increasing demand for affordable, home-cooked meals in the community. For children up to high school age, meals are free, while adults can enjoy a filling dinner for 300 yen. The essence of Kizuna Shokudo lies in its trend towards helping families without financial burdens, combining delicious food with a nurturing atmosphere.

The organizer expressed gratitude for the community’s engagement, stating, "Many children came to enjoy their time at the kitchen. We want to create various activities that will keep drawing more kids in! We’re aiming to make it a relaxing place for all children.
