This year's edition marks the 13th installment of the highly popular anime expo that first launched in 2014. In an exciting development, the idol group Sakurazaka46 has been named the official ambassadors of AnimeJapan 2026 for the second consecutive year. The group’s influence is expected to add significant momentum to the event. Additionally, the much-anticipated awards ceremony for the “Most Desired Anime Adaptation from Manga Ranking 2026” is scheduled for March 4, further spotlighting their impactful role leading up to the expo.

Exclusive Merchandise and Ticket Information



AnimeJapan has also released its first wave of official merchandise, incorporating character illustrations from the event's key visuals. Fans can now purchase tickets that grant access to the event and the opportunity to participate in stage applications - this is the last chance to secure these admissions! The prices for tickets with stage application rights are set at 2,500 yen per day. There’s also a combined ticket option, priced at 3,300 yen, which includes original sticker designs inspired by AnimeJapan’s key visuals. These exciting stickers showcase all 22 characters featured on the merchandising, available for collection at the event.

Ticket sales began on February 6 and will run until February 24, so fans are encouraged to act fast.
