BYSN HIGASHIOSAKA ROASTERY: A Celebration of Community

On February 21, 2026, BYSN HIGASHIOSAKA ROASTERY, located in Higashi Osaka, held a lively community event aimed at fostering connections among local residents. The initiative was organized by Start Line Inc., a company committed to creating a society where everyone can live authentically through employment support for individuals with disabilities. The roastery opened its doors in June 2025, providing a space where approximately 40 individuals with disabilities and 10 support staff can work in an environment that encourages pride in their contributions to the company and the community.

Purpose of the Event

After more than six months since its establishment, BYSN HIGASHIOSAKA ROASTERY wanted to express gratitude for the new employment opportunities created within the region. With the goal of deepening connections within the local community, the roastery organized this engaging event, inviting families and residents to take part in a day filled with fun and creativity.

A Fun-Filled Day for Everyone

The event attracted over 80 visitors, mainly comprised of local families, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere throughout the facility. Various activities were set up to ensure that both adults and children could enjoy themselves:

• - Playing Corner: Featuring ring toss and mini bowling, these engaging games captured the attention of the younger attendees, providing a playful experience.

• - Local Crafts Marketplace: Attendees had the opportunity to purchase handmade baked goods, bread, and crafts produced by local employment support centers. It was a meaningful way to experience community connections through welfare initiatives.

• - Kids' Workshop: A workshop led by a local handmade artist allowed children to nurture their creativity by crafting their own frame stands, fostering artistic expression.

• - Kamishibai Performance: A professional storyteller known as “Ganchan” captivated the audience with his unique performance, bringing smiles to the faces of both children and adults as they were drawn into his imaginative world.

BYSN HIGASHIOSAKA ROASTERY aims not just to serve as a place of employment but also to be a hub where the aroma of freshly roasted coffee brings together workers and local residents, enabling deeper understanding and connection.
