Overview of YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL's Sound Logo Creation

YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL, overseen by the Yamaha Music Foundation based in Meguro, Tokyo, has launched a public web voting initiative called "Everyone Create a Sound Logo". This project invites everyone to participate in deciding the school's new sound logo through an exciting voting process.

The Process Behind the Sound Logo Creation

Before the voting commenced, YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL organized fan meetings across five venues nationwide. During these gatherings, fans were encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings about what the sound logo should evoke—phrases like "it makes me excited," "something is starting," and "it expands upwards" encapsulated the essence of how fans envisioned the logo.

This invaluable input was then shared with YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL instructors, who contributed to the design process by submitting their interpretations of this sound logo. In total, around 180 submissions from both domestic and international instructors were received. The selection committee focused on choosing eleven standout pieces based on their quality and their fit with the core image of the classrooms as envisioned by dedicated fans.

Currently, the public is invited to cast their votes among the twelve selected sound logo entries. Your vote will help determine which piece will win the prestigious award.

Award Announcement

The piece that accumulates the highest score from the web voting will be declared the "Grand Prize" winner. The results will be announced in October 2025 on the official YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL website.

Future of the Winner's Sound Logo

The winner's sound logo will feature prominently in YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL's promotional videos and materials beginning in December 2025, ensuring that the voice of the community is echoed in the school’s future endeavors.
