New Update for Persona 5: The Phantom X

Sega recently rolled out an exciting update (Ver.2.6) for the mobile and PC game, Persona 5: The Phantom X (often abbreviated as P5X). This update brings new and thrilling content that fans of the franchise won’t want to miss. One of the most significant highlights of this update is the introduction of a new ★5 phantom thief, Akira Okumura, with the code name Noir from Persona 5.

The update coincides with the launch of the second half of the original event, which further expands upon the narrative universe shared with Persona 5. Titled the third original event, players will be able to work alongside the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, facing new challenges and uncovering more intrigue in a location reminiscent of the palaces from the original game.

New Event Features

One of the main attractions in this update is the original event that features a collaborative story where the Phantom Thieves from P5X meet the characters from P5. Players will participate in battles, explore new palaces, and engage in boss fights to earn a variety of rewards, including "Gold Tickets" and "Platinum Miricoins" that can be used for gacha mechanics.

Encounter the New Phantom Thief

Akira Okumura, characterized as Noir, can be summoned through the limited-time “PICKUP Phantom Contract,” increasing the odds of acquiring this new hero. Players can also obtain a special ★5 weapon called 'Last Quarter' through this mechanism. His skills are excitingly unique; while dealing damage to enemies, he can also empower his ranged attacks to offer various enhancements. As the battle proceeds, the number of enhancements he activates boosts his attack power and can unleash formidable psychic damage on all enemies.

To celebrate this new costume, there’s a limited-time sale running until January 8, 2026, that reduces the cost for the 'Flexible Crystals' needed to acquire costumes from 3,200 to 2,880.
