Starting on July 11, 2026, Aomori will host its very first Moving Ukiyo-e Exhibition. This groundbreaking digital art museum features over 300 pieces created by legendary Ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, and Utagawa Hiroshige. Running until August 30, 2026, the exhibition takes place in the New's Hall at the To-o Nippo Shinchomi Building in Aomori City, providing an immersive experience through state-of-the-art 3DCG animations and projection mapping.
The Moving Ukiyo-e Exhibition is designed to resonate with audiences of all ages, offering a digital art experience that brings traditional prints to life through captivating visuals.
