Toride Childcare Monitoring Diaper Subscription Service Launches in Ibaraki

Launch of the Toride Childcare Monitoring Diaper Subscription Service

On September 1st, a significant event took place at the Toride City Hall, where the launch ceremony for the "Toride Childcare Monitoring Diaper Subscription Service" was held. This initiative, a collaboration between Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi, headed by President Yasuyo Aoki, and the Toride City government led by Mayor Osamu Nakamura, aims to provide essential childcare supplies such as diapers and milk to families with infants. This service is designed to ease the anxiety and concerns often faced by new parents.

During the launch ceremony, which was attended by local officials, including Mayor Nakamura and Executive Director Makoto Kayane from Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi, as well as the beloved characters Torikame-kun from Toride City and Konsen-kun from Pal System, an atmosphere of community solidarity was palpable.

Mayor Nakamura highlighted the significance of the service, noting his personal connection as a new grandfather. He expressed the positive feedback he received from his daughter-in-law after introducing her to the diaper delivery service, stating, "It is truly appreciated. The visit from Pal System will provide a comforting time for parents who experience worries and anxieties."

Executive Director Kayane expressed gratitude for being able to contribute to the city's childcare support efforts. He recalled their previous partnership with the city to monitor the elderly and emphasized their commitment to creating a supportive community where no one feels isolated.

Following the speeches, a Pal System staff member received a supply of diapers from Mayor Nakamura and began the first delivery in a specially designated vehicle, with attendees bidding farewell.

Providing Essential Support for New Parents

The "Toride Childcare Monitoring Diaper Subscription Service" sends out information to households with infants within the city, inviting them to enroll in this essential service. Upon registration, the delivery system, operated by experienced Pal System staff, ensures that diapers and milk are regularly provided. The staff is trained to offer useful parenting information and to consult on any concerns related to raising children or managing household life.

This initiative is part of a broader agreement established in April 2013 between Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi and Toride City aimed at utilizing the cooperative's delivery infrastructure to support community safety through monitoring activities. Regularly scheduled delivery routes are particularly important for detecting any disturbances in the community. In cases of detected anomalies, staff members are trained to notify local authorities and emergency services as needed. Furthermore, in September 2025, the two organizations will expand their partnership to promote childcare support efforts, reinforcing a collaboratively designed environment where families feel secure.

A Rich Source of Parenting Information

In addition to diaper deliveries, Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi actively disseminates valuable parenting resources that include original products such as the "yumyum series," as well as organizing community parenting events. They run an informative website, "Kodomo Teian 123," and offer various support channels, including a parenting consultation hotline and a LINE account for receiving parenting tips.

Finally, the Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi is dedicated to fostering a healthy environment for families and collaborating with local government and residents to nurture a community where parenting can flourish without fear or loneliness. As the organization moves forward, it aims to continue to serve as a trusted partner for parenting families, building a better society where everyone has access to necessary resources.
