An Inspiring Initiative: Facility Dog Day Lemonade Stand 2025
On July 1st, which is recognized as Facility Dog Day, the accredited nonprofit organization Shine On Kids will sponsor the exciting event "Facility Dog Day☆Lemonade Stand 2025 at Katsuo-ji Temple". This initiative aims to raise awareness about pediatric cancer while engaging the community to support children battling severe illnesses.
From June 28th to 29th, a gathering of passionate students from international schools in the region will host a lemonade stand, selling lemonade and charitable goods. Among them will be Shine On members, children who have previously fought against severe illnesses, eager to uplift their peers who are now facing similar challenges.
Thanks to the generous support from Katsuo-ji Temple in Osaka, part of its grounds will serve as the event venue. Participants can enjoy a serene temple backdrop while contributing to a noble cause.
Supporting Pediatric Cancer Research through Lemonade
The heart of this event revolves around selling lemonade, with proceeds destined for pediatric cancer research and development. What began in America has now expanded globally, becoming synonymous with community engagement and awareness for pediatric cancer support. This movement promotes charitable merchandise and disseminates crucial information, making a significant impact in the fight against children's cancer.
All earnings and donations from this event will go directly to a crowdfunding effort aiming to launch the first Hospital Facility Dog® in Western Japan at the Hyogo Children's Hospital. More details about the crowdfunding can be found here:
