Randstad, a global leader in recruitment services, has announced its participation at the upcoming Tokyo Pride 2026 scheduled for June 6th and 7th at Yoyogi Park. This marks the fifth consecutive year for Randstad to have a booth at this significant LGBTQI+ event, which is recognized as one of the largest in Asia. The company is committed to promoting an inclusive workplace and will be distributing an original rainbow mobile neck strap to the first 5,000 visitors at their booth, emphasizing their support for LGBTQI+ rights.
Exclusive Gifts for Attendees
At the Randstad booth, attendees will receive a unique rainbow mobile neck strap with a phone tab attached, free of charge. The distribution of these items will be done on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 5,000 guests, celebrating the spirit of diversity and inclusion. Employees, including members of Randstad’s LGBTQI+ ally employee resource group, will be present to engage with attendees and create a lively atmosphere at the event.
Special Interview Series
In addition to giveaways, Randstad will also direct visitors to a special content site via a QR code on the neck strap. This will lead them to an exclusive page on their 'Career HUB', featuring interviews with four individuals, both LGBTQI+ representatives and allies, discussing workplace dynamics and the societal environment surrounding LGBTQI+ individuals. The title of the interview series is “After the Colors Fade: In the Workplace– Between Ideal, Society, and Us.” This initiative aims to shed light on the experiences of LGBTQI+ individuals within the context of employment and society as a whole.
Conducting a Survey to Understand Workplace Safety
Randstad is also conducting a sticker voting survey at the booth, inviting participants to share their feelings on two specific axes related to the event's 2026 theme. One axis examines perceptions of societal progression in terms of equal rights, while the other focuses on psychological safety in the workplace. The survey aims to gather insights on the current state of psychological safety at work and the overall feelings of inclusivity and equality in society. By visualizing responses, Randstad intends to highlight the necessity of psychological safety beyond just legal recognition and systematic frameworks.
Commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDI&B)
Originating from the Netherlands, the first country to recognize same-sex marriage, Randstad is dedicated to becoming the world’s most equitable and specialized recruitment services company. Their vision incorporates providing equal opportunities for all, irrespective of sexual orientation or gender identity. In Japan, Randstad has established provisions that treat same-sex couples as equal to heterosexual marriages under employment regulations, and they have consistently received the highest accolades for the PRIDE Index, achieving 'Gold' status for five consecutive years. In addition to participating in Tokyo Pride, Randstad has also engaged in Pride events in Osaka and Fukuoka, further advocating for LGBTQI+ rights across Japan.
