Embark Consulting Welcomes Felice Gorordo as New CEO
On May 1, 2025, Embark, a leading firm in financial and management consulting, officially announced the appointment of Felice Gorordo as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move comes as the firm aims to enhance its leadership and drive further growth.
Felice Gorordo, who brings over 20 years of extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, has previously served as the CEO of three venture-capital-backed companies and held the position of CEO in the world’s largest multilateral development bank. His deep expertise also extends to venture capital, where he has worked as both an investor and an advisor, contributing to global mandates in health and infrastructure. The transition will see him take over responsibilities from the current CEO, Clancy Fossum, who will continue to assist during the handover while remaining a shareholder and exploring new opportunities at the end of the quarter.
Paul Allen, the founder and chairman of Embark, expressed confidence in Gorordo’s capabilities, stating, "Felice is a leader with an impressive track record and valuable experience in steering large organizations. He aligns with Embark's mission to care for our team exceptionally and empower us to provide excellent service to our clients." Allen also took the opportunity to acknowledge Fossum’s transformative impact at Embark, noting the incredible milestones achieved over the previous decade under his guidance.
Before joining Embark, Felice served as the Deputy Executive Director of the United States and a board member of the World Bank, which allocates roughly $130 billion annually. He was also the CEO of eMerge Americas, a venture-backed initiative designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across the Americas, and served as an advisor for I Squared Capital, a global private equity infrastructure fund managing over $40 billion in assets.
Felice’s vast experience includes previous leadership at Clearpath, a tech company focused on streamlining the immigration application process, and holding a global director role at StartUp Health, a venture fund concentrated on health innovations.
In his first remarks as CEO, Gorordo mentioned, "What initially drew me to Embark was the purpose-driven team and how its people-centered culture translates into delivering the highest quality of service. I feel incredibly honored and excited to join the Embark team, leveraging the remarkable legacy of Paul Allen and Clancy Fossum to lead the company into this new era of growth and innovation."
Embark operates under the belief that happiness drives success, a philosophy rooted firmly in their workplace culture. With nearly 600 employees across 18 offices in the United States, the firm has seen exponential growth, increasing its size tenfold in just four years. Embark has also reported an impressive Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 87, significantly above the industry average of approximately 32, demonstrating strong client satisfaction.
While taking the helm, Gorordo expressed commitment to exploring new opportunities, expanding Embark's reach, and continuing to deliver exceptional value to both clients and team members. This strategic appointment underlines Embark’s dedication to maintaining a philosophy centered on employee satisfaction, which in turn, promotes organizational success.
