Yamaha Music School and Shimajiro Team Up for a Musical Adventure in 2025

Yamaha Music School and Shimajiro's Exciting Collaboration

In an exciting announcement, Yamaha Music School is joining forces with "Kodomo Challenge," a popular educational brand by Benesse Corporation, featuring the beloved character Shimajiro. This collaboration, titled "Shimajiro's Music Adventure," will kick off on May 24, 2025, with a series of concerts scheduled at 30 venues across Japan, culminating in summer performances. The concerts promise to be an engaging experience for both children and parents, showcasing a mix of beloved songs alongside dynamic rhythm activities crafted by Yamaha Music School.

A Journey Through Music

The concert's theme, "Join Shimajiro on a Musical Adventure!", invites audiences on an imaginative journey. As Shimajiro visits the "Ocean Music Festival," he embarks on an adventure through the ocean, where he and the audience will work together to solve challenges. Using fun items like the complimentary "Shake Shake Castanet" given to attendees, families will participate actively by performing songs like "Happy Jam Jam" together.

The rhythm activities designed by Yamaha Music School will encourage young children to stand up, move, and enjoy music collectively, fostering a dynamic and joyful atmosphere in the audience.

A Well-Loved Tradition

Since its inception in 2001, the Shimajiro Concert has welcomed approximately 200,000 parent-child pairs each year. The concerts are more than just entertainment; they feature a professional stage production that captivates adults while offering children familiar songs and dances to enjoy with their families and friends. Interactive elements like quizzes and cheering allow the entire venue to celebrate together, creating memorable moments for families and helping them recognize their children's growth and emotions.
