Peter Piper Pizza and SARSEF Join Forces to Enhance STEM Education and Fun for Future Innovators

Peter Piper Pizza Teams Up with SARSEF for STEM Education

In a significant move to support education in Arizona, Peter Piper Pizza has announced a new partnership with the Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF). This collaboration aims to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education among students, bringing engaging programs and exciting camps right into the pizza chain's restaurants.

Peter Piper Pizza, known for delivering fun in every bite, has a long-standing dedication to children's education. The company has been organizing educational field trips focused on STEM topics for more than five years, providing students with interactive and dynamic learning experiences. Activities like “Pizza Engineering,” “My Nutrition Plate,” and “Treasure Hunt in the Game Room” make learning both fun and memorable.

According to a study by the Arizona Daily Independent, student scores in STEM subjects have stalled for decades. This initiative aims to address that stagnation and make STEM education more accessible. Genaro Pérez, the Chief Marketing Officer of Peter Piper Pizza, stated, "We are committed to making STEM education more accessible and engaging for all children in our communities. Through our partnership with SARSEF, we can offer more learning opportunities year-round, whether at summer camps or while enjoying pizza and fun at Peter Piper."

To kick off this exciting partnership and to commemorate Pi Day on March 14th—which celebrates mathematical constants—Peter Piper Pizza will offer personal cheese pizzas for just $3.14 at its locations in Arizona and Albuquerque. Customers can redeem this offer by downloading the Peter Piper Pizza app.

In addition to the pizza promotion, Peter Piper Pizza will grant scholarships for SARSEF’s STEM summer camps in June 2025, along with meals for campers and special offers for their families. "At SARSEF, we are grateful for the support from businesses like Peter Piper Pizza, which helps us fulfill our mission of developing critical thinkers and problem-solvers in Arizona," commented Katherine Larned Ortega, Director of SARSEF's Summer STEM Camp.

The generosity of Peter Piper Pizza is evident, as the company donates more than $600,000 annually to schools, hospitals, and nonprofit organizations that focus on education and child development. In April 2024, Peter Piper Pizza launched the Slice of Knowledge Foundation, raising $20,000 in its first fundraising campaign aimed at supporting educational initiatives in underserved communities.
