Sourcing Brothers Selected for Open Innovation
Sourcing Brothers, founded in 2020, has been officially selected as a support provider for the TIB Open Innovation Implementation and Promotion Program by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. This program, part of the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB), aims to catalyze innovation from Tokyo by facilitating effective open innovation initiatives led by large companies.
Overview of the TIB Open Innovation Program
The TIB Open Innovation Program will be launched in the fiscal year 2024. Its goal is to foster innovation by helping large enterprises successfully implement open innovation strategies. By selecting three partner organizations, the program will leverage each partner's strengths to provide support to large companies looking to start their journey in open innovation.
The vision is to create a thriving ecosystem that generates numerous “first customers” among startups. This program reflects Tokyo's ambition to position itself as a leader in innovation, enabling new business development through collaboration.
New Business Development Course in Innovative Fields
The New Business Development Course in Innovative Fields is a core component of the program. This course includes lectures, workshops, and individual consultations designed to foster collaboration and development of innovative business plans in conjunction with startups.
Participants will engage in interactive sessions, receive personalized mentoring, and have the opportunity to connect with startups as they formulate co-creation plans aimed at developing new businesses.
The program is structured over six months, emphasizing practical outcomes and collaboration that translates into actionable business strategies.
