Despite initially venturing into furniture sales, his journey would eventually lead him to the world of bookselling, driven by a desire to create enriching experiences for readers. He spent nine fruitful years in an established book store in Hiroshima, honing the art of creating engaging spaces and building connections with readers, which became the foundation for his work in bookstore design.

His current role as the Literature Concierge at Tsutaya Books involves curating literary experiences that resonate with a diverse audience. This upcoming ‘Our Bookstore’ fair is a testament to Eto’s commitment to fostering a reading culture among younger generations.
