In an exciting reveal, Great Place To Work® (GPTW) has unveiled the 2026 edition of its much-anticipated list of the best workplaces across the Asia region. This list celebrates the dedication and hard work of 43 Japanese companies that made the cut, reflecting the experiences of 8.9 million employees across various Asian countries.

Understanding the 2026 Best Workplaces Ranking

This year marks the 12th iteration of the ranking, developed from extensive employee surveys conducted across numerous Asian and Middle Eastern countries. The analysis compiled insights from more than 3.8 million responses, illustrating the experiences of employees from over 890,000 workers.

At the core of GPTW's approach is a unique survey that evaluates essential aspects of work culture. These include trust in management, teamwork, and the pride employees feel towards their job and the company. To ensure insightful and honest feedback, respondents anonymously answer 60 multiple-choice questions alongside 2 open-ended queries.

One noteworthy criteria used during the selection process is the emphasis on whether all employees—regardless of their roles or work styles—experience equitable workplace conditions. This focus on fairness and inclusivity is a driving force behind the recognition of these outstanding companies.

The ranking encompasses companies from a broad range of nations, including Bahrain, Greater China (including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan), India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, and Vietnam.

The ranking features both large corporations (over 500 employees) and small to medium-sized enterprises (between 50 to 499 employees), totaling 200 recognized companies. Among these 43 distinguished firms, several have also achieved a GPTW “Certified™” designation in Japan, leading in workplace excellence.
