Tripo AI Unveils Triumphs from First-Ever Tripothon Hackathon Celebrating 3D Innovation

A Groundbreaking Event in 3D Innovation

Tripo AI has recently concluded its first world-building hackathon, known as Tripothon S1, which attracted over 2,000 teams from 78 countries around the globe. The event, which ran from September 15 to October 20, 2026, aimed to leverage Tripo AI's cutting-edge 3D-native foundation models to inspire creativity in various fields including gaming, filmmaking, and immersive applications.

Unprecedented Participation

The incredible participation included teams from regions as diverse as the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, with the highest representation from countries such as China, the US, Brazil, India, and South Korea. The participating teams were challenged to submit projects under the theme 'A Gift for __', encompassing five distinct categories: games, film and VFX, VR/XR/AR experiences, applications, and physical design.

Tripo AI also organized five in-person events in major cities including San Francisco, São Paulo, Seoul, Barcelona, and Shanghai, further enriching the competitive atmosphere and providing teams a platform to showcase their work live.
