New Filming Location Registration: Tokyo University of the Arts by TONICHI's T-Roke

Registration of Tokyo University of the Arts as a Filming Location

TONICHI, a company headquartered in Koto City, Tokyo, is expanding its filming location service known as T-Roke. On September 29, T-Roke officially registered Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai) as its first university filming location. This development marks an exciting intersection of art and filming, providing a unique venue that enhances the creative landscape for filmmakers.

Located within Ueno Park, the university boasts a rich greenery alongside historic buildings and modern architectural structures. Among its features are the iconic Red Brick Building No. 1, completed in 1880, alongside Western-style architecture, traditional Japanese tatami rooms in the Shoin-zukuri style, and the contemporary LAB building. The university not only supports Japan's artistic culture but also offers diverse settings for various types of filming that transcend time and genre.

The Tokyo University of the Arts has independently offered filming services since March of this year. With the aim of increasing recognition and promoting shooting utilization, the university sought a partnership with T-Roke to leverage its strengths. T-Roke has over 200 registered filming locations in the Tokyo metropolitan area and boasts around 500 annual filming applications, making it a highly reputable resource for filmmakers. The decision to include Geidai as a registered location is a noteworthy endorsement of T-Roke’s expertise and matching capabilities.

In order to continually enhance the filming experience, T-Roke is committed to expanding a varied array of filming locations and improving the services offered. They aim to ensure that production companies feel that having T-Roke available makes their work smoother and more efficient.
