Joie, JLH Fund, and One Happy Mama Unite to Empower New Orleans Mothers
In a heartwarming gathering in New Orleans, young mothers experienced something truly special, turning dreams that resided solely on vision boards into tangible realities. This remarkable occasion, dubbed the 'Create Your Joyful Life' event, was made possible through a collaborative effort involving Joie, the JLH Fund, and One Happy Mama.
The event took place at Son of a Saint, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring boys without fathers, showcasing the powerful connection between community and personal growth. Mothers enrolled in One Happy Mama's 9-month program united for an afternoon filled with vision boarding, mentoring, and uplifting connections. The atmosphere was charged with intention, accentuated by delicious offerings from Viola's Heritage Breads, a JLH Fund grantee.
What many mothers did not realize upon entering the venue was that Joie had contributed immensely throughout the year. The partnership ensured that the One Happy Mama program could continue seamlessly, supporting 25 mothers along their journeys. At the event, these women participated in crafting vision boards to outline their aspirations and the lives they aim to build. In a delightful twist, many of the baby items they envisioned became real gifts waiting for them post-creation.
