Major Updates to ONE TAP SPORTS
Euphoria, a sports tech company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has announced a significant upgrade to the training features of its flagship application, ONE TAP SPORTS. This upgrade aims to enhance usability for athletes, including Japan's national rugby team, with a focus on injury prevention and performance optimization.
What is ONE TAP SPORTS?
ONE TAP SPORTS serves as a comprehensive data management system designed to centralize various data points that athletes require to monitor their condition and prevent injuries. The core functionality of this system revolves around effective training management, allowing athletes to peak at critical moments and recover from injuries efficiently.
The system enables physical coaches and managers to plan, record, and analyze training loads, making it essential for pre-game preparations and training assessments. Athletes can share personalized training plans, incorporating both subjective ratings of perceived exertion (sRPE) and objective data derived from GPS/LPS systems, which aids in visualizing and managing training intensity.
Key Updates to Training Functionality
The updated training features now streamline three essential processes: the creation of training plans, the input of training records, and the reflection and analysis of training content. Each of these areas has received significant user interface (UI) improvements.
1.
Simplified Training Plan Creation
The UI enhancements allow for easier creation of training plans, especially for weight training. Users can set specific weights and repetitions for each set and save individual workouts for easy assembly into more extensive training programs.
2.
Streamlined Input of Training Records
Inputting training achievements has become simpler, with easy adjustments for set values and options to add or delete sets. This improvement allows athletes to log their training efforts accurately, which is crucial for tracking past performance and analyzing data. Further, users can now effortlessly upload GPS/LPS data during this process.
3.
Enhanced Training Reflection and Analysis
The updated UI makes it easier to view a week’s schedule and training reports. The introduction of periodization tags allows users to embed event timelines (before and after matches) into training plans, facilitating easier sorting and historical comparison of training loads surrounding performances.
User Feedback on the New Features
Euphoria's upgrades have drawn praise from users like Shota Okamura, a trainer for the Horikoshi High School soccer team, who appreciates the improved visibility of training loads during practices and games. He notes that the new features enable easier adjustments to training menus based on high-intensity running distances to manage injury risks effectively.
The Future of ONE TAP SPORTS
Euphoria continues to innovate with ONE TAP SPORTS, aspiring to make its products even more user-friendly for sports teams. By doing this, they aim to not only enhance athletic performance but also contribute to injury prevention via advanced data management solutions. Currently, ONE TAP SPORTS is employed across 71 sports and over 1,700 teams worldwide, including Japan's national teams across 26 competitions.
