Experience Japanese Tradition at the YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET at HOTEL GRAPHY

Discover the YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET at HOTEL GRAPHY

On May 9-10, 2026, HOTEL GRAPHY Nezu will transform its guest rooms into vibrant market spaces, showcasing local shops from the Yanesen area. This event, titled "GRAPHY GARAGE - YANESEN TRADITIONAL MARKET," is a unique opportunity to engage with Japanese cultural traditions and local delicacies in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

This market is the fifth installment of the successful "GRAPHY GARAGE" series, which began as part of our 11th-anniversary celebration. This year's theme, "Graphic × Journey × Nostalgic," invites guests to explore a lively venue where Japan's rich cultural heritage meets a contemporary market experience. Our event is tailored for both domestic and international visitors, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty and charm of Japan's traditions.

What to Expect at the Event

Unique Shopping Experience:
Attendees will have access to ten carefully selected local shops that have reimagined the hotel guest rooms into engaging market spaces. These shops specialize in traditional Japanese crafts, retro items, and other unique merchandise. During the event, the guest rooms will be accessible for all, allowing guests to browse and shop in a cozy and intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a travel adventure. Once you've filled your shopping bag, enjoy our exclusive event tote, ensuring that you can take home not just items, but memories.

Family-Friendly Activities:
The market will feature a blend of entertainment suitable for all ages. Enjoy live performances of the koto, a traditional Japanese string instrument, and shakuhachi, a bamboo flute, from acclaimed musicians. In addition, children's activities such as picture story shows and craft workshops will be available, alongside our delightful rooftop festival and a special Rooftop Movie Night on May 9, promising a delightful evening under the stars.

Culinary Delights:
As part of the event, FOOD & BEVERAGE offerings will enhance the experience. The hotel café will feature event-exclusive menus inspired by Japanese cuisine, including onigiri (rice balls), tonjiru (pork soup), and matcha-flavored treats. Experience the flavors of Japan with burgers and festival-style foods like yakisoba (Japanese fried noodles) and okonomiyaki (savory pancakes) at our on-site café. Let food be another avenue to connect with the culture.
