Discover STEAM Winter School 2025
As we look forward to winter, an exciting opportunity is back for young minds at Laurus International School of Science. Designed specifically for elementary and middle school students, the
STEAM Winter School 2025 will run from
December 15 to December 19, 2025. This program not only welcomes current Laurus students but also extends an invitation to external participants to dive into the world of robotics and winter sports.
Program Overview
For Elementary Students: THE ROBOT OLYMPICS
The
STEAM Winter School 2025 will allow young learners to create their own robots and program them with sports movements. Inspired by the upcoming
2026 Winter Olympics, students will get to enjoy a sports competition powered by their own robotic creations. Using the latest
VEX Robotics technology, elementary kids will learn how to control their robots using
Python programming. The final day's adventure will take them outside for experiences in winter sports like curling and hockey!
For Middle School Students: FROSTBYTE: THE WINTER ROBOTICS CHALLENGE
For the older participants, the
STEAM Winter Program 2025 is set to expand their comprehension of sports movements further. Middle schoolers will analyze sports actions as a whole, challenging them to combine multiple motions into advanced programming techniques. The blend of creativity in robotic construction and critical thinking through programming will foster their skills and ignite their passion for technology.
Activity Schedule
Day 1 (Monday): Participants will kick off with an orientation, mastering the fundamentals of robotics, and analyzing sports movements.
Day 2 (Tuesday): After witnessing a demonstration of a sample robot in action, participants will begin constructing their own robots.
