PAL System's New Initiative to Support Childcare in Sakai Town

A New Venture in Childcare Support by PAL System Ibaraki Tochigi

On June 24, 2023, PAL System Ibaraki Tochigi, located in Mito City and led by Chairperson Aoki Yasuyo, entered into a partnership agreement with Sakai Town, headed by Mayor Hashimoto Masahiro. This collaboration aims to enhance childcare support for local families, creating a nurturing environment for children in the community.

The agreement introduces a special initiative: the "Omedetoubako," a package filled with essential childcare products designed to support families with young children. The cooperative believes that providing these resources will help foster a stable and supportive atmosphere for child-rearing, ensuring children’s healthy development.

"Omedetoubako" Delivery System

According to the signed agreement, Sakai Town will distribute informational cards during health check-ups for infants aged 3-4 months, introducing the "Omedetoubako" to families in need. Interested households can apply to receive a complimentary package that includes items to aid in preparing baby food, such as potato starch and natural broth, as well as recipe books and baby soap, all sourced from PAL System’s offerings.

The "Omedetoubako" will be personally delivered to the recipients’ homes by PAL System, which also provides helpful information about local childcare consultations and support organizations during the visit. This initiative further integrates into the town’s broader community safety efforts, ensuring that assistance and resources are readily available for families.

Detailed Contents of the "Omedetoubako"

The contents of the "Omedetoubako" are tailored to meet the essential needs of new parents. It includes:
  • - Ibushi Gin Natural Broth (80g)
  • - Thickening Starch (120g)
  • - Additive-Free Tuna Flake (70g)
  • - Kids Barley Tea (100g x3)
  • - First Baby Food Mini Guidebook
  • - YUMYUM Baby Soap (250ml)
  • - YUMYUM Wipes (80 sheets)

Strengthening Community Support since 2014

This partnership is not the first of its kind between PAL System and Sakai Town. In January 2014, they initiated an agreement to enhance community monitoring through the delivery service infrastructure. This program has allowed the cooperative to quickly identify any irregularities in neighborhoods, helping to maintain local safety through prompt emergency reporting and response collaboration.

The network of support for childcare families in Sakai Town has expanded significantly, allowing PAL System to maximize their role in the community, reinforcing their commitment to nurturing safer and healthier environments for families.

Expanding Childcare Initiatives

The 2024 fiscal year marks the 30th partnership agreement focusing on childcare support within the region, furthering the goal of creating a community that fully supports young families. PAL System Ibaraki Tochigi continues to leverage its delivery system to provide original products such as the "YUMYUM series" and engage with users through childcare-related events and forums.

Additionally, they operate the "Childcare 123" website, which serves as a comprehensive resource for parents, and offer consultation options via a dedicated hotline as well as the "YUMYUM LINE," ensuring multiple touchpoints for childcare assistance.

Commitment to Nurturing Families

Through these concerted efforts, PAL System Ibaraki Tochigi envisions an inclusive community where everyone can safely raise children. Their determination to actively disseminate childcare information and collaborate with various local entities is rooted in the belief that together, we can cultivate an environment where families thrive.
