OLX Group Unveils Innovative AI Tools Prioritizing User Trust and Transparency

OLX Group Introduces Agentic Selling and DealFinder

On October 30, 2026, OLX Group, a leading player in the online classifieds market, unveiled two innovative AI-driven tools: Agentic Selling and DealFinder. This launch, which took place during the CLAIM Online 2026 summit, aims to streamline buying and selling processes on their platforms while maintaining user trust. The group, known for having nearly 60 million daily listings across 11 brands in seven markets, has been integrating AI solutions for over eight years.

Understanding the New AI Tools

Agentic Selling is specifically designed for real estate transactions. Currently available to 20% of private sellers on Otodom in Poland, it guides users through every step of the property selling process. From evaluating properties to posting listings, this tool simplifies the experience by providing clear directions.

On the other hand, DealFinder functions as a purchasing assistant on WhatsApp. This tool is in the deployment phase after a successful beta test involving 2,000 users in Portugal. DealFinder allows users to search for items, set price alerts, and conduct searches through text, images, or voice. The tool has demonstrated impressive efficacy, achieving an 18% conversion rate during its tests.

Andreas Merentitis, OLX's data director, emphasized the balance between AI efficiency and human decision-making: “Agentic Selling and DealFinder are based on the principle that AI should handle complexities while humans make significant decisions. The focus has always been on the user’s trust in the results.” This sentiment is reflected in recent findings indicating that while AI use is widespread, many users prefer being in control of critical decisions.

Users' Perspectives on AI

Accompanying the launch were two significant studies focusing on AI's role in critical life decisions, such as job searching and housing. The surveys indicated a high adoption rate of AI tools among individuals aged 18 to 29 in Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Germany, and France, with 92-96% using AI for personal tasks. Surprisingly, despite the extensive usage, less than 41% felt prepared for a job market transition influenced by AI technologies.

The data reveals a gender gap in perceived AI skills, with men rating their abilities higher than women, even though anxiety about AI’s impact on careers is equally shared (31% for both genders). Notably, Poland showed a cautious stance: 37% expressed significant concern about AI and automation.

In response, OLX's career tools, such as CV Optimizer and AI Interviewer, are tailored to assist young job seekers in navigating these fears by providing actionable feedback on CVs and offering mock interviews. Early users reported positive experiences, with 88% finding the CV tool useful and 90% appreciating the AI interview simulations.

Regarding housing searches, users highlighted that features like alerts for matching listings and side-by-side comparison tools are in high demand. Interestingly, only 5% expressed more trust in AI assessments compared to those provided by real estate agents, with a significant 36% favoring agent estimates over AI ones. A noteworthy 78% want any AI alterations in listings to be transparently communicated.

Balancing AI and Human Expertise

OLX aims to combine AI’s capabilities with human intuition. For instance, while Agentic Selling offers data-driven pricing suggestions, it ultimately leaves the decision-making power with the seller regarding final prices and information disclosed.

CEO Christian Gisy remarked, “Users already rely on AI to make important decisions on our platforms, but they rightfully question its reliability. Adoption reflects who has used it, not whether they trust the outcomes.” This perspective underlines OLX’s commitment to ensuring transparency and user control over AI recommendations.

Impact of AI on Product Results

The AI tools have begun transforming product outcomes on OLX platforms. Listings that use AI-generated titles and descriptions are seeing an impressive 11% increase in completion rates. The AI facilitation of real estate listings is also halving the time required for publication. Moreover, over 70% of car dealers are welcoming AI-created videos of their vehicles. With features like AutoIQ, which connects with all dealers on OLX platforms in Poland and Portugal, and the AI Interviewer conducting over 1,000 mock interviews monthly, the impact of these tools is already palpable.

Conclusion

Claiming its place as a frontrunner in the digital marketplace landscape, OLX Group continues to pave the way for trusted and user-centric AI applications. As they persist in refining their offerings, the focus remains clear: empower users, maintain transparency, and foster trust in an ever-evolving digital economy. With tools like Agentic Selling and DealFinder, OLX is not just shaping the future of online classifieds but is also redefining user engagement in the AI era.
