TerraMaster's Invitation to Developers

TerraMaster, a leader in data storage solutions, has unveiled its TOS Developer Platform alongside an exciting App Listing Reward Program. This innovative initiative aims to foster collaboration with developers, encouraging them to contribute their applications to the TerraMaster NAS ecosystem. Independent developers, open-source project maintainers, and homelab enthusiasts are invited to leverage their existing applications, expanding the TOS app ecosystem while earning rewards.

Seamless Development and Publishing

With the recent launch, developers can take advantage of the TOS Developer Platform to adapt and package their existing projects for the ecosystem without the need to create new software from scratch. Once approved, these applications can be featured in the global TOS App Center, providing valuable exposure to a wider audience of TerraMaster NAS users.

The platform is designed with ease of use in mind, offering comprehensive documentation and pre-designed packaging templates for various formats, such as Debian (.deb) and Docker. A notably convenient feature is the online self-service submission process, which includes automated validation and tracking capabilities. Developers can access these features through an API integration, streamlining the submission process into their existing CI/CD workflows. Registration only requires a valid email address, enabling developers to begin their journey without the necessity of verification or owning a TerraMaster NAS device initially. An Ubuntu 22.04 virtual machine can be utilized for development and testing.

Generous Donation Policy

Amidst the rewards of joining this platform, developers will also appreciate the flexible donation policy. TerraMaster allows developers to set up their own HTTPS donation links on their application detail pages. Importantly, TerraMaster does not take a commission on donations or manage any donation funds. All contributions made through these links go directly to the developers, offering them a more streamlined way to receive support from users.

Earn with the App Listing Reward Program

Developers are encouraged to submit their applications to the TOS App Center before April 30, 2027, to qualify for monetary rewards. Each eligible app listed can earn developers up to $30, with greater earnings possible as developers publish additional eligible applications. The criteria for eligibility and the distribution of rewards will be governed by the official program rules, ensuring clear guidelines for participation.

TerraMaster retains the authority to make final decisions regarding eligibility and reward allocation, ensuring a fair and equitable process for all participants.

Join the Collaborative Journey

TerraMaster enthusiastically invites developers of all backgrounds, including open-source project maintainers and technology aficionados focused on homelabs, to bring their innovative projects to the TOS ecosystem. By doing so, they will help countless NAS users discover and utilize their applications, contributing to a thriving community.
