Autism United of Wisconsin is excited to host the much-anticipated 2025 Zoofari Stroll at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Sunday, August 24th. This event, which runs from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, is set to be a memorable day focused on raising awareness, acceptance, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.

The Zoofari Stroll aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. The event features designated sensory-friendly zones tailored for kids, teens, adults, and families. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of exploration and fun amidst the zoo's wonderful animals, while also engaging in a range of activities catered to vary needs.

Exciting Zones for Every Interest

1. Active Zone: A vibrant area filled with games and activities where children can expend their energy through fun activities such as bounce houses and games designed to keep them actively engaged.

2. Yummy Zone: This zone will cater to the appetites of visitors with a selection of delicious breakfast items and snacks. It's a perfect spot to recharge and refuel while enjoying tasty treats!

3. Safety Zone: The safety and security of children impacted by autism is paramount. This area is set up to educate families on various strategies to ensure their child's safety, including friendly interactions with local peace officers and first responders in a relaxed environment.

4. Creative Zone: Creativity blooms in this zone, where participants can express themselves through various artistic mediums in a sensory-friendly space that embraces all forms of artistic expression.

5. Learning Zone: Partnered with experts and organizations in autism and neurodiversity, this area will provide invaluable resources and guidance to help families navigate available services and support options.

6. Quiet Zone: Recognizing that everyone may need a break, the quiet zone offers a serene environment for attendees to relax, recharge, and catch their breath before diving back into the festivities.

Free Event Merchandise and Membership Perks

Each registered guest will receive complimentary Zoofari Stroll merchandise to commemorate the day. Attendees can choose from a variety of t-shirt sizes, ensuring everyone has something to wear while enjoying the event.

Additionally, participants are encouraged to gather groups of 10 or more to maximize their impact and can even showcase their organization’s logo on the back of the t-shirts. It’s a fantastic opportunity for companies and organizations to get involved while promoting a good cause.

Members of Autism United will enjoy exclusive perks such as free admission tickets to additional zoo attractions on the day of the event. These include rides on the zoo carousel, safari train, sky ride, or access to special exhibits, along with a chance to relax in the VIP member tent filled with goodies and giveaways.

Special Consideration for Families

For families utilizing the Wisconsin Children's Long-Term Care (CLTS) waiver, both the membership and admission to the Zoofari Stroll may be covered. This ensures that families have access to the event without financial burden, promoting inclusivity for all.
