FyterTech Unveils 20 New Spilfyter Products with Enhanced Absorbency Features

Enhancements in FyterTech’s Spilfyter Product Line

In a noteworthy advancement for the sorbent industry, FyterTech Nonwovens has unveiled 20 new products across five different categories under its Spilfyter® brand. The enhancements promise not only improved absorbency but also added value and efficiency for consumers. The new offerings are available through local industrial distributors and on their website, www.fytertech.com, marking a significant step in responding to market demands.

Enhanced Recycled Rag Rugs

The launch includes innovative recycled rag rugs made from post-industrial recycled fibers, manufactured at FyterTech's facility in De Pere, Wisconsin. These new rugs are touted to be 30% stronger and have an impressive 40% increase in liquid absorbency compared to previous models. Available in pad and roll formats, they are versatile solutions adept at managing various types of liquids, including oil, water, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and solvents.

Railroad Mat Line Extension

Another exciting addition is the Spilfyter railroad mat line, which has similarly been revamped for greater absorbency. Like the rugs, these mats utilize recycled fibers to prevent waste from ending up in landfills, while also effectively absorbing hydrocarbons and repelling water. They feature a special poly backing designed to safeguard the ground from oil leaks, thereby preventing costly environmental spills.

The New Grab Go Pads

In response to the prevalent issue of workplace slips, trips, and falls—accounting for over 21% of workplace injury costs—FyterTech has introduced Spilfyter Grab Go® pads. These highly visible absorbent pads come in a portable dispenser that can be quickly deployed during spills. With a bright yellow caution pattern, they help alert foot traffic to potential hazards until proper cleanup can be executed. The strategically placed dispensers ensure a prompt response to spills across various facilities.

Innovative SpilLock Socks

The SpilLock™ Sock is yet another standout product, tested in labs to absorb 50% more liquid than standard absorbent socks. Designed to lock in fluids and minimize drips, these socks effectively manage both water-based and petroleum-based substances. Additionally, they are constructed from post-consumer materials, promoting sustainability while enhancing spill control measures.

Space-Efficient Compressed Rags

Lastly, the new Spilfyter reclaimed rags offer both boxed and bagged options, now compressed to save up to 50% in storage footprint, benefiting both freight and warehouse space efficiency. These rags are meticulously graded and metal-scanned for safety, maintaining high standards to protect users' assets.

Christin Wam, Vice President of Marketing and New Market Development at FyterTech, emphasized the importance of these enhancements in meeting customer needs.
