Glenstar Minerals Secures Approval for Ambitious Drill Program at Nevada's Wildhorse Project
Glenstar Minerals Secures Approval for Ambitious Drill Program at Nevada's Wildhorse Project
Glenstar Minerals Inc., a prominent mineral exploration company, has recently announced that it has received official approval from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a significant drilling program at its Wildhorse Project located in Mineral County, Nevada. The authorization encompasses a total of 13 drilling holes designated for reverse circulation methods, aimed at significantly advancing the exploration's scope.
In addition, the approval encompasses the construction of over 2,200 feet of new access roads connecting to the drilling sites, improving the logistical capacity for on-ground operations. Glenstar has engaged Midnight Sun Drilling Inc., a respected drilling company with over 50 years of experience, to assist with this drilling initiative. Midnight Sun has a history of collaboration with Glenstar, particularly during the Green Monster Project exploration in southern Nevada last year, which successfully identified anomalous Nickel-Copper-Cobalt-Zinc deposits.
Recent Exploration Activities at Wildhorse
Prior to this drilling program, Glenstar conducted a trenching operation at the Wildhorse site in late February, with the results currently pending from ALS Chemex. Initial observations from trenching suggest a promising geological structure and mineralization, resonating well with prior surface sampling data, which indicated the presence of valuable minerals.
The upcoming drilling operations are strategically planned to take place at two key zones within the Wildhorse Project: the Coca Cola Zone and the Rattlesnake Zone. Six drill holes are proposed for the Coca Cola Zone, while seven are planned for the Rattlesnake Zone, with depths ranging from 300 to 500 feet to assess the mineralization patterns. This drilling initiative is inspired by the recent trenching results which highlighted a significant area of quartz veining and copper mineralization along with unusual mineral alteration.
Detailed Insights into Coca Cola and Rattlesnake Zones
The Coca Cola Zone's drill holes are intended to follow a mineralized trend revealed by prior sampling activities. Promising assay results include copper readings of over 5%, alongside previously noted presence of silver and bismuth. Observations have depicted a complex arrangement of dikes within the geological matrix, indicating a rich mineralization potential.
Conversely, the Rattlesnake Zone, located approximately 1,600 feet northeast of the Coca Cola Zone, presents a vertical drilling strategy that adheres to the north-south mineralization characteristics envisaged during previous explorations. This aimed process intends to map out and relate the findings from both zones to understand the broader mineral system of the Wildhorse project.
Management's Optimism for the Future
Project Geologist Bob Marvin expressed unwavering enthusiasm regarding the rapid approval from the BLM and the involvement of Midnight Sun Drilling, which marks a vital step in Glenstar’s ongoing exploration of the Wildhorse Project. With previous successful partnerships, the company looks forward to exploiting the potential of the site, which is rich in polymetallic resources. It has been suggested that the core mineralized system stretches beyond just the identified zones and that exploration might reveal further hidden riches beneath the surface.
The Wildhorse Project encompasses 89 mineral claims covering approximately 1,780 acres (720 hectares) of fertile exploration land, with a historical backdrop indicating past mining activities. Initial assessments have shown the promising indications of deposits of gold, copper, and antimony, among others, suggesting a well-rounded resource base for Glenstar to tap into. The advancement of the Wildhorse Project marks a significant addition to Glenstar Minerals’ portfolio, aligning with their goal to develop critical mineral properties globally.
In summary, Glenstar is poised to undertake a crucial phase of exploration at its Wildhorse Project, catalyzing a focused effort to delve deeper into the mineral wealth that lies beneath Nevada's surface as they advance through this new drilling program. As they roll out this vital initiative, Glenstar aims to yield significant insights into the extent of its mineral resources, promising a potentially prosperous future in mineral exploration.
