The Advanced Leadership Institute (TALI), functioning alongside Carnegie Mellon University, has charted the course for leadership development with the announcement of its 2026 Emerging Leaders Program. This initiative marks the introduction of the fifth cohort, aiming to equip and elevate Black leaders and their allies. With a focus on nurturing influential professionals, TALI is committed to fostering a strong network of leadership talent equipped for the challenges ahead.
Embracing a New Era of Leadership
The 2026 program began its journey on January 30th with a full day dedicated to hands-on learning and introductions. The cohort comprises 29 talented professionals from a spectrum of industries, all set to engage in a transformative learning experience. This year, TALI has further enhanced the curriculum through a hybrid learning model spanning six months. This innovative approach allows participants to boost their leadership competencies while delving into crucial subjects like managerial effectiveness, executive presence, negotiation strategies, and creative problem-solving.
With an emphasis on building community, cohort members will have opportunities for peer networking and mentorship throughout their journey. This cohort model fosters collaboration and connection, crucial elements in leadership development.
A Gathering of Future Leaders
February will see the Emerging Leaders Program cohort joining forces with participants from the National Executive Leadership Academy for an engaging Community Welcome Reception. This event will not only welcome the new cohort but will also serve as an introduction to the expansive TALI network, creating pathways for future collaborations and alliances. This marks the first in a series of shared events, culminating in a joint graduation celebration in June, solidifying the connections formed during the program.
Evan Frazier, President and CEO of TALI, expressed his enthusiasm saying, "Congratulations to all those selected for this year's Emerging Leaders Program cohort. Our commitment to nurturing the next generation of senior leaders remains unwavering. With the exemplary talent in this cohort, I am optimistic about the positive impacts they will make in their respective fields."
Isabelle Bajeux-Besnainou, Dean of the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, added, "We look forward to supporting the cohort’s growth as they acquire the tools necessary for their success."
