Persistent Systems Expands Its Reach with New Fort Collins Headquarters
Persistent Systems, a prominent player in the field of advanced networking solutions, recently unveiled its new Colorado regional headquarters in Fort Collins. This significant milestone was celebrated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Senator John Hickenlooper, highlighting the company’s commitment to the military and technological innovation.
A Firm Commitment to Military Support
The newly acquired Fuse Building, which spans 30,600 square feet, will serve as a central hub for the company's field service and program teams. These teams play a crucial role in supporting the U.S. Air Force missions and the operational demands of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. The acquisition was financed by J.P. Morgan Commercial Banking, showcasing a blend of public-private partnerships that bolster national defense capabilities.
“Colorado businesses are driving innovation, creating good-paying jobs, and strengthening our national security,” said Senator Hickenlooper. His words resonated through the event, emphasizing how Persistent Systems is not just a company but an integral part of the local community and military collaboration.
From Tenant to Owner: A Transition that Matters
Persistent Systems first opened an office in Fort Collins back in 2015. Since then, it has seen substantial growth, with its local team doubling in size. This transition from tenant to owner represents a strategic move to consolidate operations, ensuring a more robust infrastructure that supports ongoing collaborations with military units.
“Owning this building is a long-term commitment to Colorado, to our team, and to the American Warfighter,” stated Dr. Herbert Rubens, Founder and CEO of Persistent Systems. His vision reflects a deep-seated dedication to fostering innovation in military technology that directly supports U.S. servicemembers.
Strengthened Ties Through Proximity
The proximity of the new headquarters to Fort Carson is notable. It allows field service engineers and customer support specialists to collaborate more closely with the Soldiers they support. This aligns with the Army's Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) initiative, which aims to connect every level of command through a unified network. The effectiveness of this project hinges on the ability to rapidly deploy technical support to the field when needed.
The Wave Relay® MANET technology, developed by Persistent Systems, will serve as the transport layer for the NGC2 network. This innovative solution is designed to facilitate communication among Soldiers, command centers, unmanned systems, and various sensors without the need for fixed infrastructure.
A Future-Oriented Vision
The Fuse Building is strategically located within Harmony Technology Park, an area that is a focal point for tech advancements in Northern Colorado. Designed by Brinkman Construction, it will house not just office space but also the engineering staff and program management teams crucial to ongoing military projects.
As the company expands its operations further, this acquisition ensures that Persistent Systems has the stability and resources needed to meet the growing demands placed on them by the Army and Air Force. With a vision set firmly on the future, Persistent Systems is preparing to continue its significant role in defense technology and innovation.
