The highly awaited 7th installment of the TOPANGA CHAMPIONSHIP for STREET FIGHTER 6 is officially announced, promising an exhilarating competition for eSports enthusiasts worldwide. With a staggering prize pool of 15 million yen, including a grand prize of 10 million yen for the champion, the stakes have never been higher!
Event Details
Organized by CELLORB, a leading company in the eSports sector, the tournament embodies the mission of connecting the world through gaming. The championship will commence on June 10, 2026, with an expansive format featuring a long-term battle system that creates engaging, dynamic matchplay. This tournament will include online qualifiers, a main league, and an offline finals.
Participants for the main league consist of 26 returning players from the previous tournament, 8 invitees, and 2 players who emerged from online open qualifiers. Notably, top-class international competitors LeShar and MenaRD will also be joining, ensuring fierce competition at every turn.
Tournament Structure
Players will be categorized into two stages: BEGINNING STAGE and ADVANCED STAGE based on their performances in previous competitions. The tournament spans 16 days of league play involving a total of 36 participants. Following this, 7 finalists will compete in the FINAL STAGE, scheduled for August 21-23, 2026.
This year’s prize fund marks a significant increase from 4 million yen last year, making this the largest prize pool in a privately-run fighting game tournament in Japan.
